Photography is my passion but I’m also a trained journalist with experience writing about travel and technology.
If you’re looking for an editor/journalist and photographer all wrapped in one, either writing city guides, photography blogs, or the inside knowledge on today’s latest tech then I’m your man, give me shout. And if you’ve thought of a photo idea I haven’t tried before, well, I love a challenge.
My photos have been used on magazine and book covers, in the UK and worldwide, and my work is on sale here and through Alamy. I own a Nikon Z7 and Nikon D810. Although I mostly specialise in city and architecture photography, I have a home studio and a couple of high speed/high output flashes so can shoot everything from simple product photography to ambitious portraits. Skilled in Lightroom and PhotoShop, I’m also able to retouch images or even create minor miracles. Take a look at more of my work.

A BIT ABOUT ME
My career started out in magazines where I launched newsstand favourites such as Computer Arts, Advanced Photoshop and relaunched PC Format and T3. My love of tech, photography and all things creative came together when digital cameras really took off.
With a move into customer magazines, I used my travel knowledge to launch titles for Virgin Trains, Virgin Holidays and Monarch Airlines’ inflight magazine. My camera and I have been fortunate enough to travel far and wide, from the jungles of Thailand to the rainforests of Australia. I’ve been inside the pyramids of Egypt at dawn and stood atop the Golan Heights as bombs rained down on Syria. I count myself a lucky man.
More recently, my interests have collided in other ways. I have spent a a very enjoyable year writing weekly blogs for Jessops, managing their blogs and social media output for their core market, as well as editing a print mag for them. A great bunch of guys facing tough conditions on the High Street.
